Sister Brenda Matterson is a Daughter of Charity who is the Parish Sister at St John’s Cathedral, Salford and its associated parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St Joseph. Recently she came together with young adults aged 20-35 from the parish SVP and Legion of Mary to create and distribute nearly fifty family food parcels. The food items were provided by the parishioners to help those in need during these COVID difficult times.

Sister Theresa Tighe D.C. As we prepare for our upcoming assemblies under the theme 'Artisans of hope and peace,' Fr Eugene's presence is a sign of God's providence. His accompaniment will help us shape a future that is faithful to our charism and responsive to the needs of those we serve - our own sisters, the poor, the forgotten and all whose lives touch ours in any way. In his homily, Fr Eugene emphasised the notion of accompaniment, walking with people as they discover for themselves the freedom that is theirs as beloved children of God. It is up to us to do what God asks of us in good times and not so good times. He emphasized that we are not in control but God is in control and his grace and mercy extends to all of us.
